AGRIBUSINESS GRANTS

HVADC administers a variety of agribusiness grants programs for specific food production related sectors in New York State. From application through review and to funds disbursements, we administer grants for state, regional, federal and county agencies that are available to farms and food businesses within designated markets.

This enables small agribusinesses, particularly those in underserved communities that otherwise may face limited financing opportunities; supporting the success of these businesses and improving the economy of their rural communities.

Small to mid-sized farms in Ulster County, NY can take advantage of grants available for helping them increase farm viability, energy efficiency and climate resiliency.

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is offering grants on a competitive basis to fund projects that support the expansion of existing meat processing facilities who are USDA certified, and the establishment of new facilities in the state. The program aims to increase the capacity of New York State sourced meat.

To assist farmers achieve NYS Grown & Certified (G&C) status, the Hudson Mohawk Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc. (HMRC&D) and the Hudson Valley AgriBusiness Development Corporation (HVADC) are partnering to administer a grant program in the Capital District Region.
