HVADC and The Carrot Project have a long track record of collaboration and interconnectedness as like-minded organizations. The following ran in their November 16th Newsletter:

In 2013 when Gill Farms in Hurley, New York transitioned to be the Hudson Valley Farm Hub, the Hub’s advisory team reached out to HVADC.

Delivering Hudson Valley and regionally sourced seasonal produce and food products directly to corporate and public pick up locations throughout New Yok, Connecticut and New Jersey each week, Field Goods, LLC is a unique subscription based service with a mission to support small farms and promote wellness.

In the fall of 2015, Thompson-Finch Farm in Ancram New York was facing a crisis that threatened to put an end to its 35 years of organic farming and organic pick-your-own berry operation beloved by so many in the Hudson Valley and beyond.

For over 70 years, three generations of the Osofsky family have owned and operated Ronnybrook Farm Dairy in Pine Plains, New York.

Located on the Vassar College campus, in the heart of the Hudson Valley, Poughkeepsie Farm Project (PFP) is a non-profit organization that works toward promoting a just and sustainable food system in the Mid-Hudson Valley by operating a member supported farm, providing education about food and farming and improving access to healthy locally grown food.

The Northern Dutchess Alliance (NDA), a 20 year old, volunteer-run 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization, is a regional planning group founded to foster inter-municipal land-use cooperation and promote economic development through tourism and agriculture.

For Marianne Courville, the idea for the Hudson Standard came out of conversations about handcrafted bitters that were, at the time, trending on the west coast.

Located in Argyle, New York (Washington County), a short drive from Saratoga, Lake George and Vermont, and dating back to the 1860s, is a 225 acre family farmstead that is home to Argyle Cheese Farmer.

Hudson Valley AgriBusiness Development Corporation's (HVADC) focus is on the viability of the agricultural economy in the region and we provide a wide variety of assistance to those businesses and individuals working in the industry.

Feeding the Hudson Valley is a food recovery and gleaning network that, through their web-based mobile app ChowMatch, recovers edible and nutritious unused food and delivers it through a network of volunteer organizations that feed the hungry.

Jennifer and Mark Soukup, owners of Soukup Farms, were participants in HVADC’s first Farm & Food Business Accelerator Program (FFBA).

It’s County Fair season! Fairs have long been a tradition throughout the United States, the first fairs were primarily agricultural, but they have grown to include music, rides, and of course, fried food!

Founded in 1996, The Hudson Mohawk Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc. (HMRC&D), is an all-volunteer, 501(c) 3, non-profit organization that works in partnership with local communities to create healthy, profitable landscapes, and serves Albany, Columbia, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, and Schenectady counties.

Sara Higgins, owner and operator of Raspberry Fields Farm, an artisanal granola and cookie company in Marlboro, Ulster County, was a participant in HVADC’s first Farm & Food Business Accelerator (FFBA) Program.

The economic impact of the local and regional food system in the Hudson Valley cannot be underestimated.

In 2016, Catskill Brewery took part in Hudson Valley AgriBusiness Development Corporation (HVADC) Incubator Without Walls (IWW) program, which provides business support to Hudson Valley food and farm businesses with a wide range of services to accelerate their growth and increase their chances of long-term success.

Hillary Lindsay, owner and operator of The Green Onion, is a participant in HVADC’s first Farm & Food Business Accelerator Program.

The Carrot Project, founded in Boston in 2005 by Dorothy Suput, is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating financing solutions for small- and midsized farms in New England and New York.

The Hudson Valley is home to several organizations, like HVADC, whose goal it is to develop and foster the local agricultural industry.
